The Lunar New Year Concert 2023 is an evening of the orchestral concert to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.

George Ellis, one of Australia's most talented conductors and composers will lead the extraordinary Willoughby Symphony Orchestra together with the selected Australian Chinese soloists including popular soprano Cathy-Di Zhang, baritone Haotian Qi, Peking opera singer Yan Wu, Erhu Tuqiang Zhang and the Sydney Chinese Music Ensemble. This all-star cast brings you remarkable and immersive live music experience of authentic classics from East and West such as Spring Festival Overturn, a joyful exuberant piece composed by Huanzhi Li, Tchaikovsky Nutcracker Suite ‘Trepak’, and a line-up of other enchanting classics and representative eastern and western works. They will highlight the concert with its grand returns with a perfect festival ambiance to the audiences.
